Can 2208 replace 2210？

I used TMC2208 as the motor driver，but they could’t work.And I happened to have two 4988 and replaced 2208 with them，then the motors started working.I want to know how to do with 2208,who can help me? Thangs!

You need to turn off UART mode. The instructions say depending on the jumper config.
